Private Residential / Senibong Cove Bungalow

Senibong Cove Bungalow
Architectural Style & Volumetric Composition
-
Design Concept: The bungalow is a striking example of cutting edge ultra-modern, brutalist infused tropical architecture. The design relies heavily on a bold interplay of interlocking geometric volumes and dramatic cantilevers. Massive, floating white rectangular blocks create deep shadows and a powerful sense of weightlessness over the open ground level.
-
Material Palette: A highly sophisticated mix of textures that emphasizes architectural honesty. It features crisp white stucco on the primary cantilevered blocks, juxtaposed against dark charcoal vertical wood-composite cladding, smooth off-form concrete at the base, and rich natural stone walls along the perimeter.
-
Integrated Greenery: Softening the sharp, clean edges of the brutalist geometry, a long, recessed planter box is carved directly into the main front cantilever, overflowing with lush, draping tropical ferns. The flat roof of the left wing is utilized as a green roof terrace, punctuated by neatly manicured decorative trees.
